Mother Nature Hates Us
Yes, she does. The weather started to warm up last week and we were all excited but the wind was too hard so we couldn't go shoot the trebuchet which is the only thing left to do for our project. And just when we got our hopes up for a windless day, it snowed! It freaking snowed the beginning of this week and we had a delay for school and there is still ice on the ground today!. Then yesterday it was warming up and the birds were chirping and happy, it even smelled like spring. But no, today its all rainy and windy. The sky has threatened rain all day, and in band last period it was still holding off. And in the three minutes it took me to walk from the band room through the school to the buses the heavens opened up. It poured just long enough for the entire high school to get soaking wet going to our buses. By the time our bus was leaving the school the rain had already stopped. It didn't rain the entire bus route (over half an hour) but no joke the second Sassy and I got off the bus it started to rain and in less than thirty seconds it was pouring so hard that I could barely hear Sassy talking. AND the wind was blowing so hard that it almost ripped a sign out of the grass. I was afraid that the trees next to us were going to blow over and kill us! Seriously ask Sassy I was afraid for my life. It that three minute walk home we were got so wet and cold and deaf from the wind. When we got home I went upstairs and told Lex about Mother Nature hating us. Before I was even done talking to Lex, Sassy called me to the window and guess what? The wind and rain had stopped and the sun was smiling down and laughing, LAUGHING at us. I swear it was. But the wind did start back up again. It was blowing so hard a few minutes ago that I found my deck chairs flying towards the neighbors house. It was insane! I was watching a fountain across the street and it wasn't doing it's normal up and out kind of fountain thingy, it was more like going up and away in just this big wall of water. It was crazy. But the moral of this story is that Mother Nature Hates Sassy and I. Mainly me I think but that's just because Sassy got on the bus before me and it was still raining. But that's my only evidence. Still I sense hatred.
